Liposuction may be used to reduce localized fat deposits of the thighs, hips and buttocks, abdomen and waist, back, chin and neck, inner knee, chest area, cheeks, upper arms, calves and ankles.

There are two common variations to the procedure:

  1. Traditional liposuction: Surgical suctioning of excess fat deposits

  2. Tumescent liposuction or super-wet technique: Requires infusion of saline solution with adrenaline and possibly anesthetic before of the fat excess removal
Is liposuction right for me?

Ideal candidates for liposuction are:

  • Adults within 30% of their ideal weight who have firm, elastic skin and good muscle tone

  • Healthy individuals who do not have a life-threatening illness or medical conditions that can impair healing

  • Non-smokers

  • Individuals with a positive outlook and specific goals in mind for body contouring
